| Reach The Sky / Bane / Terror / Most Precious Bloodlive in Worcester, MA2003 live show Review by: Duk See others by this writer Only registered users can post comments Published on February 14th 2003
Over the years, there has been many, many memorable hardcore shows in Massachusetts. Nothing could have prepared the crowd tonight for the historical show that they were about to witness at the Palladium in Worcester, MA. The night was already special seeing how it was the final performance of Boston's hardcore heroes REACH THE SKY. Throw in THE PROMISE, MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD and BANE (and not to mention a special, unanounced guest) and, well, we got ourselves a real pit fest folks. Please login or register to post comments. "My Nose" Those kids practicing thier "Kung-Fu" moves in front of the mirror obviously doesn't have alot to do in thier spare time. It's not like anybody is impressed with that stuff anyway. People are too busy watching out for you fuckers kicking them in the head. I know how it feels, I got punch in his nose by some dude who thought he was Jet Li. ""A lot of people in here are sounding fucking weak...if you don't like hardcore shows don't go, if it's too rough for you." only the strong will survive. I fail to see where I said "hardcore music is all about the dancing". trying to find the "meaning" behind a fucking musical genre is gay. feedmynightmare- Oh, I almost forgot. Did "FeedMyNightmare" really refer to the city he lives in as "Tuffalo"?!?!?! Saying "f'ed" if you are not on the radio or tv is gay. Stop busting on the hardcore kids who like doing the kung fu shit in the pit. These are the only kids truely dedicated to hardcore. They are the ones at home spending countless hours in front of the mirror, trying to get all their moves just right. You think those reverse roundhouse kicks & windmills come naturally? No. It takes work. That means when you're hanging with your friends, doing nothing worthwhile, they are at home practicing all their moves for the next show. So the next time you see some kid working the pit, remember, that kid spent more time than Britney Spears practicing his/her dance routine. At the end of the day, isn't that what hardcore is really all about? giving this show a 10 is gay As they respect me by jumping into people with their foot up in the air? being the guy who posted right before me is gay. what a pussy. he probably cries after he masturbates. or during. Reach the Sky is the most passionate band I have ever seen live. They put their heart and soul into their music. Shows like this are proof that punk is indeed not dead. being FeedMyNightmare is gay listening to bane is gay living 4 hours away is gay all of these bands suck. "Because hardcore is all about dancing...yep." "A lot of people in here are sounding fucking weak...if you don't like hardcore shows don't go, if it's too rough for you." A lot of people in here are sounding fucking weak...if you don't like hardcore shows don't go, if it's too rough for you. " plus all your whining about dancing is gay. i you want "slamdancing" go see korn and stay the hell outta hardcore." i wish i could've gone to this show, but living 4 hours away and having no money prevented that. all you kids saying peope only like bane b/c chad wore abane shirt in their video is stupid, don't you know lately it's the cool thing to not like bane? plus all your whining about dancing is gay. i you want "slamdancing" go see korn and stay the hell outta hardcore. great review. Have to say I agree with hardcore kungfu dancing. Getting kicked in the head or punched in the face is never much fun. I'd much rather slamdance. I once saw this big guy(approxamately 300 lbs) stage diving with his feet first in to the crowd.....three times!! Now that's disgusting. hardcore "dancing" is fucking lame. I like the music and all, but I never really understood the windmill swing thing. I kinda like moshing better, because then everybody can participate. Those guys in the circle pit swingin' thier arms around take up too much room.... man, the guitarist in that nfg video is chad gilbert, the ex-singer for shai hulud. c'mon dewdz, he's got hardkore cred!!! the stooges rule A good hardcore show is always a vivid experience. Sounds like this was great show. "the reason why everyone is like "ohh yea...mmm BANE!" is because the guitarist from NFG wheres their shirt in the new video, and all these people are like "hXc" its annoying. " "OMG! GOOD CHAROLETTE LIKES RANCID! SO THAT MUST MEAN THAT THEY ARE GOOD! SO I'LL LIKE THEM TOO!" yeah, because it's obvious no one would talk about Bane because they're a good band. ANY mentioning of them would only be because of NFG. Of course. I was actually about to post a message saying how much Bane ruled, but since it's apparently a trendy fucking thing to do now to say you LIKE a fucking hardcore band because some stupid NFG fuck decided to wear a Bane shirt, well, I guess I just won't do it. sounds like a killer show, id love to see RTS one last time and i wouldnt mind seeing The Promis or MPB again. the reason why everyone is like "ohh yea...mmm BANE!" is because the guitarist from NFG wheres their shirt in the new video, and all these people are like "hXc" its annoying. I'll tell you what reaches the sky. Bane is so awesome, I love that band. Mmmmmm, Bane. oh yeah the show was downstairs with no barrier so there was sick stage diving all night long even the bouncers were going off I wish I could have gone. 13 hours away, damn. Good review. I wanted to go to this so bad. Its a shame I live 5 hours away and had school the next day at 7. Terror is shizzle. the palladium holds 2700 people. it's insane when you're there for a sold out show. I was at this show. There had to be at least 1500 kids there. You forgot Some Kind of Hate, who were the first band. Very fast angry punk hardcore. Best time I've seen them. Every band was great, but definitely got better as the night went on. I';ve never seen anything like what went on during Bane. A total sea of people singing and going off. Suprisingly the same thign happened during Reach the Sky. So many insane stage dives and sing alongs. This kid is right, this was one hell of a night. It was pretty emotional too. Corny, but whatever, it was. I love all those bands that played and there were so many friends there. A true hardcore show Terror kicks major ASS, I saw them with Throwdown a month ago, and they just stole the show. This band has a bright future I'd say. |
