Having never even heard a single song by Tsunami Bomb before I watched this DVD, I have to say, I’m pretty damn impressed.

After having watched the Dance Hall Crashers DVD, which came from the same series released by Kung Fu, I was anticipating the production being spot on, and it doesn’t disappoint. Just as with DHC, it’s extremely professionally done, with a great variety of shots and angles, crystal clear picture and sound, and just a great overall feel that really enhances the performance. As usual, the majority of the camera focus is reserved for the singer, in this case Agent M, but it’s a smart decision here again.

Agent M has a terrific stage presence, and right away it’s evident that it’s going to be the most impressive part of the DVD. Not only does she have a commanding and entertaining stage presence, but her voice is able to be a real force as well. Those same notes she hit on record are thankfully no problem live. She covers the entire stage during virtually every song, and does her best to get a lot of the crowd involved with singing, screaming, and chanting along. But it’s not just the vocalist who takes an active role in the band's live show and stage presence, as both the bassist and guitarist spin and thrash around during Tsunami Bomb's rowdy punk anthems. The guitarist and bassist get involved, and still manage to come across sounding extremely solid, and just the right volume as well.

It takes a while to get things really going, and really energized, but when the band plays “20 Going On�,” and the bassist and guitarist is able to really get into the backup vocals, the crowd starts to go nuts. Agent M’s harsh scream towards the end of the song only further energizes them, and it seems they have a second breath of life for every song that follows, playing a great mix of songs from both of their albums. This DVD was actually recorded a few days before The Definitive Act was released, so their seems to be some favoritism geared towards that album, but the crowd responding, singing along as best they could with what little of the new material they knew. 19 songs later, at the very end of the set, the band was still just as full of energy as when they started, and the crowd was receptive to their display of rowdy punk rock.

For somebody who had never heard the band, I was definitely impressed by Tsunami Bomb. Terrific stage presence, electric energy, and some truly solid and energetic punk rock jams, there’s a lot to like for new and old fans just the same.

Great songs, great performance good visuals & sound. One of the good DVDs and definately worth the buy.

Btw: Agent M, Matt & some other guy startet a new band: The Action Design. Yeah, baby !

People said some really random shit in this thread. Also, don't turn people's juvenile attraction to Agent M into an attack on her for how unattractive you might think she is.

On a personal note, why is it I always learn my favorite bands break up three months after the fact? Am I right? And why do women own so many pairs of shoes? Honestly! Is this thing on?

This DVD just makes me miss Tsunami Bomb's live shows all the more. They need to get back together now!

Of course if a staff member didn't write this review and some fan would have instead, the following people would have complained about this...

1. Some stupid fan boy wrote the review!!
2. This person has never written reviews here before; they're not an "expert staff member!!�

Someone should do research before they post reviews.
1, they didnt play songs from "both" there albums. They played songs from all THREE albums, pllus one off one of their old 7"s.
2. She does not have "harsh screams" at the end of 20 Going On....
3. They do not favor The Definitive Act Songs
If anything they favor The Ultimate Escape
4. You didnt even mention the band commentary/commentary video that plays in the corner of the screen
5. Didnt mention Dawn......music video
6. Didnt mention bountiful tour footage and various live performances recorded elsewhere

Punknews, next time someoen reviews an artists release, make sure its acccurate. Granted it was a good review of the DVD, it featured numerous errors.

Yea, I forgot to mention the powerfully intense music of Tsunami Bomb. I guess I was just transfixed by the utterly so-so beauty of Agent M. (Whatta silly name.)

Agent M is cute. However she is not what makes Tsunami Bomb...well, Tsunami Bomb. It's their amazing talent and their powerful music. It's truly a shame they broke up.

As to his singing and stage moves, she's no better than Toni Basil or Pat Benetar. Seriously.

And the band is just yet another mediocre bunch of California commercial punks following inthe rich tradition of The Offspring and Pennywise. They're just a buncha jocks with so-so ability playing by-the-numbers "punk."

Heraing that Tsunami Bomb broke up effected me about as much as seeing them live. They meant nothing to me, as does their disappearance.

It's interesting how you talked about the cameras being focused on Agent M, and didn't once mention how goddamn hot she is. I guess you were being all professional and shit.

Is Roxy Epoxy the singer of The Epoxies? If so I'll take Agent M by a landslide also. Having spoken to both (yeah I'm namedropping, bitch) M is way hotter.

Saw them three times in MN. Great band before the drama and alk3 wanabe def. act cd. Not Forever will forever rock. I'm glad they quit though. Wasn't the same when Dom and Mike left.

they are pretty unimpressive, after your first show, thats about all they will ever do for you, or could have done. if you see them more that once, its just a playback performance of a subpar band.

This is weird because yesterday night I was just thinking of writing a review for this DVD over the weekend... I guess I snooze I lose.

Anyways, it's a shame they broke-up, I'm just glad I got to see them live four times before they broke up.

This is a great DVD, that Nate Weaver guy does a good job with live DVD's, though I did give him a ton of shit for making that crappy music video for Tsunami Bomb on here like a year ago and he emailed me over it. I guess it's proof that the people who make these things do read the shit on here.
